Patio Bonito is a family-run farm known for hard work, precision, and a constant drive to improve. Carlos Arturo Trujillo has farmed coffee for almost 50 years, and believes that while the path has been long, the results are deeply rewarding. He is supported by his daughter Paola Trujillo, who played a key role in perfecting their fermentation. Paola previously worked for years as a cupper and buyer in Nariño and Huila, and returned to Patio Bonito in 2022.

Since then, she has introduced new ideas to both washed and natural coffees—especially anaerobic fermentation adjustments and thermal shock processing—bringing greater control, repeatability, and quality to the farm’s output.Farm size: 11 ha total, 9 ha planted to coffee (~47,000 trees) Varieties (13): Castillo, Colombia, Pink Bourbon, Gesha, Typica, SL28, Red Bourbon, Java, Bourbon “Aji”, Sidra, Pacamara, Laurina, Wush Wush.
