Flagship Store

Welcome to Manta Ray.

After two long years searching for the ideal location we have found our home in Nunawading! We have designed the space of our flagship store in two parts. The back third is focused on production. This is all things to do with sourcing, sampling and roasting, whilst the front two-thirds is a dedicated showroom. We want this to be a space where we can share our coffees and let you try them as we like to drink them.

Each morning we dial in the coffees as a team. On our espresso bar you will find the Outsider Blend and Seasonal Blend. On the brew bar you will find a rotating roster of our single origin filters. Feel free to ask any of our staff about our beans or the fancy gear that we have on bar, including recipes and advice for brewing at home.

We care about transparency and want anyone curious about our coffee to be able to peer in and see how we operate. The warehouse itself is insulated to help with minimising temperature fluctuations that affect the aging of our green beans. On a given day, you might catch us tasting coffees for quality control at the cupping table, bagging at the packing station, roasting on either of our two machines or colour sorting our finished beans. If you’re lucky, you might even find us receiving palettes of green beans!
