Growing up surrounded by coffee, Yetsin has always seen it as more than just a crop—it’s a living expression of his heritage and a tribute to the generations that came before him. As a fourth-generation coffee producer, he carries a deep sense of pride and responsibility, nurturing a legacy that fuels his passion for the craft.

His journey in specialty coffee began in 2012, when his father entrusted him with managing one of the family farms. That moment marked a turning point, sparking an even greater dedication to producing exceptional coffee while preserving the essence of his family’s tradition.

In 2014, Yetsin took another major step by becoming the owner of La Pila, a beloved farm once owned by his father. Since then, he has poured his heart into revitalizing the land—carefully tending to the soil’s health and ensuring that every harvest reflects both quality and authenticity.

This year marks a proud milestone in his journey, as Yetsin competes in two categories at the prestigious Cup of Excellence Honduras 2025, a testament to his devotion, discipline, and passion.

In the Honduras Tradicional category, he represented Finca El Ocote with a Pacas, honey process, achieving an outstanding 4th place—a recognition of his precision and commitment to excellence.

Meanwhile, Finca La Pila participated in the Honduras Exotica category with a Maracaturra, natural process, earning 14th place among coffees celebrated for their rare and complex profiles.

Each cup from Yetsin’s farms tells the story of a producer deeply rooted in family, faith, and the land—a legacy carried forward with pride, resilience, and an unwavering love for coffee.
