Nestled in the rolling hills of Huye, a district in southern Rwanda known for its prime coffee-growing conditions, this washing station sits at an elevation of 1,700 meters above sea level. The combination of high altitude, fertile soil, and steady rainfall creates the perfect environment for cultivating exceptional coffee.

Horizon Supreme found new life in late 2018 when Fidele, an experienced coffee processor with a background in managing washing stations in western Rwanda, took ownership. At the time, the facility had been dormant for several years, but with Fidele’s expertise and strategic investments in equipment and infrastructure, it quickly regained recognition for producing outstanding coffee.

This particular lot is naturally processed, meaning the cherries are dried whole on raised beds. This method enhances the coffee’s depth, intensifying its fruity flavors and creating a richer, fuller body. The name “Horizon” reflects Fidele’s forward-thinking vision—not just in maintaining high quality, but also in expanding production and reaching new markets. In his very first year, he successfully processed two full containers of coffee, and with a clear focus on growth, Horizon Supreme is set to thrive while continuing to produce some of Rwanda’s finest coffees.
